Short-duration crops (rice, maize, potatoes, beans, groundnut, vegetables)
- Rate
- 400–600 kg/ha per application
- Timing
- Basal dressing, or top dressing 10–20 days after sowing.
- How to apply
- Spread along rows or around plants while weeding and loosening the soil, then cover and earth up; or spread evenly over the field and water.
Long-duration crops (cashew, pepper, cocoa, orange, pomelo)
- Rate
- 0.4–1 kg/tree per application (100–200 g/m² of canopy).
- Timing
- Apply for tree recovery after harvest.
- How to apply
- Dig staggered trenches from 3/4 of the canopy to the drip line, or dig holes, apply fertiliser and cover with soil, watering if the soil is dry.
