A Million Green Shoots for Truong Sa – send a million wishes, sow a million green shoots at the front line of the sea

WHY FERTILISER

Helping a green shoot take root on the islands

Growing a vegetable bed or a row of shade trees on Truong Sa is far harder than on the mainland. That is why a crop nutrition company can contribute through its own expertise.

Coral sand groundIsland soil is mostly coral sand with almost no humus, holding water and nutrients very poorly.

Sun, wind and salt sprayHarsh sun and salty sea winds all year round; fresh water is precious, so every watering must be planned.

Everything comes by shipFertiliser and topsoil are all shipped from the mainland, so every kilogram must be used as effectively as possible.

200 tonnes of bio-organic, 30 tonnes of NPK

Bio-organic fertiliser adds humus and beneficial microorganisms, helping sandy ground hold moisture and nutrients for longer; NPK provides fast nutrition for vegetables and shade trees as they grow. The two are combined so that island plants both grow quickly and last.
