Benefits
- Nitrogen: a basic component of protein and the main component of chlorophyll. Nitrogen promotes budding, leaf growth and fruit development, increasing biomass.
- Phosphorus: needed for cell division; promotes rooting, flower bud formation and young fruit development.
- Potassium: promotes photosynthesis and the synthesis of carbohydrates, sugars and starch, and enhances the transport of photosynthetic products to storage organs, increasing yield and produce quality.
Directions for use
Short-duration crops (rice, sugarcane, maize, potatoes, chilli, vegetables and fruit)
- Rate
- 150–400 kg/ha per application, as basal and top dressing at each growth stage.
- How to apply
- Spread along rows or around plants while weeding and loosening the soil, then cover and earth up; or spread evenly over the field and water.
Perennial crops (rubber, coffee, cocoa, durian, avocado, mango, orange, guava, jujube, rambutan)
- Timing
- Bearing phase: 0.3–1 kg/tree per application (100–200 g/m² of canopy).
- How to apply
- Dig staggered trenches from 3/4 of the canopy to the drip line, or dig holes, apply fertiliser and cover with soil, watering if the soil is dry.
